The short answer

Search for the item on eBay, then turn on the "Sold items" filter. On a computer it sits under "Show only" in the left column; in the app, tap Filter and switch on Sold items. Sold prices show in green with the date the item sold, going back about 90 days.

Want the typical price without scrolling? Our free sold price search gives you the median price buyers paid in one step.

On a computer

  1. Go to ebay.com and search for the item. Be specific: brand and model, or card name, set, number and grade.
  2. In the left column, scroll to Show only and tick Sold items. If you do not see it, open All filters and find it there.
  3. Change the sort to Ended recently so the newest sales come first.
  4. Narrow it with Condition and Buying format if you only want, say, used items or auctions.

In the eBay app

  1. Search for the item.
  2. Tap Filter at the top of the results.
  3. Under Show only, switch on Sold items, then tap Show results.

How to read the results

  • Green price with a "Sold" date: the item sold for that price.
  • Crossed-out green price: the item sold through an accepted Best Offer. The number shown is the original asking price, so the buyer paid less.
  • Shipping: shown under the price. Compare item plus shipping when listings differ.
  • Bids: an auction with many bids is a better price signal than one with a single bid.

What eBay's sold page leaves out

The sold filter is a good start, but three things make its prices misleading if you take them at face value:

  • Wrong items. eBay matches your words loosely. A search for a graded card also returns other grades, other cards and empty cases, and a search for a console returns games and controllers.
  • Best Offer prices. Accepted offers show the asking price, which overstates what the item went for.
  • No summary. You get a list, not a price. You have to scroll and judge the typical price yourself.

A faster way to get the price

Our free sold price search runs the same sold search and does the work for you: it leaves out wrong items, counts Best Offer sales at the accepted price where it is known, and shows the median price buyers paid with the realistic range and the latest sales. No account needed. To see how much sellers accept below asking, use the Best Offer price checker.

Once you know the price, check what you will keep with the eBay fee calculator and the label cost with the eBay shipping calculator.

Sales older than 90 days

eBay's search only goes back about 90 days. If you sell on eBay, Product Research (formerly Terapeak) in Seller Hub shows up to 3 years of sold history for free. Developers who need sold data in their own apps can compare the options in the best eBay sold listings APIs in 2026.

FAQ

How do I see sold listings on eBay?

Search for the item, then turn on the Sold items filter: on a computer it is under Show only in the left column (or in All filters), and in the app it is under Filter. Sold prices show in green with the date of sale.

How far back can you see sold items on eBay?

eBay's search shows sold listings from about the last 90 days. For up to 3 years of history, sellers can use Product Research (Terapeak) in Seller Hub.

What is the difference between sold and completed listings?

Completed listings include every listing that ended, whether it sold or not. Sold listings are only the ones that sold. Use sold for pricing.

Why is a sold price crossed out on eBay?

A crossed-out price means the item sold through an accepted Best Offer. eBay shows the original listing price, so the buyer paid less than the number you see.

Do I need an account to see sold listings on eBay?

eBay may ask you to sign in before it shows sold results. The free sold price search on this site works without an account.
