The short answer
You do not need an eBay account to check sold prices. The free checker on this page searches recent completed eBay sales for any item and gives you the median price buyers paid, the realistic range, the number of sales and the latest sold listings, with accepted Best Offer prices where they are known. No signup, no login, no browser extension.
What you get for each search
- Median price buyers paid. The middle sale, so one record price or one giveaway does not move it.
- Typical range. Where the middle half of sales landed (25th to 75th percentile).
- Sales found and average shipping. How much sold data the price rests on, and what buyers paid to ship.
- The latest sales. Photo, date, condition and a link to each eBay listing, so you can check the matches yourself.
- Accepted Best Offer prices. When a sale closed on an offer, the price the seller accepted where it is known, with the listed price crossed out.
Wrong items such as empty cases, parts-only units, other grades and other models are left out before the median is worked out. See how we work out prices.
Free checker vs eBay's sold filter vs Product Research
The three free ways resellers check sold prices, side by side:
| Feature | This checker | eBay Sold items filter | eBay Product Research |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Yes | Yes | Yes, for eBay sellers |
| eBay account needed | No | eBay may ask you to sign in | Yes, in Seller Hub |
| Median price worked out for you | Yes | No, you scroll the list | Average shown |
| Wrong items left out | Yes | No | No |
| Accepted Best Offer price | Yes, where known | No, the listed price is shown | Varies |
| Sold history | Recent sales | About 90 days | Up to 3 years |
Product Research (formerly Terapeak) is the right pick when you sell on eBay and need years of history for a category. For a quick price before you buy or list, the checker is faster and needs nothing. Step by step help for eBay's own filter is in how to see sold listings on eBay.
